When was our Sabbath?

​

Our Sabbath began in Q4 2023, and concluded a year later at the end of Q3 2024. We've been around since 1991, but the timing of our sabbath coincided with the 7th year since the start of a brand and strategic refresh.

What's the significance of the Sabbath?

 

It's the action to obey the command to rest (yes, we are all commanded to rest). It's our thank you to God for nurturing all the fruit that we bore over the past 6 years. It's our reminder to ourselves that we're not in control over everything (or sometimes anything at all).

What did we do during this period?

 

For one, we scaled down our work, taking on orders only from our usual brand partners, and pushed away all other ad hoc requests.

​

The extra time was spent with family, hobby pursuits, and some learning and upskilling!

Our biggest takeaway?

​

We came out of this rest period recharged on all fronts - Mentally, spiritually, and even financially (a surprise for us too).

​

The age-old adage that God provides shifted from head knowledge to lived experience, and is now our foundation moving forward.
